[From pages 1-2] The first services were held in the home of John and Mary Kohoot.  Later as the group became larger, they rented the dance hall next door.  A young pastor, Bill Hanchar, from Dominion City Baptist Church, along with Pastor Peter Kindrat from the Ukrainian Evangelical Baptist Church in Winnipeg came to hold services.  In July 1953, the first baptisms took place followed by communion (the Lord's Supper) in the hall.  This is how the first Christian Church was started in the town of Roseau River.  In 1955 the hall was purchased.  In 1988 the Roseau River Ukrainian Baptist Church changed its name to the Roseau River Baptist Church.

Many pastors served for short periods including Ron Stohtyne and Darrick Lilly.

Nov. 1954 - Aug. 1959  Pastor Kost Screpnek undertood the work at the Overstoneville and Roseau River churches.

1959 - 1967  Rev. Peter Kindrat from the Winnipeg Ukrainian Baptist Church came, as well as other ministers, to serve here about every second Sunday.

April 1967 Dr. John Tkachuk came on a part-time basis for 31 years.  The Ukrainian Gospel Voice, a weekly radio program by Dr. John Tkachuk reached the Ukrainian people for 17 years sponsored by the Roseau River Baptist Church and the Winnipeg church.

1986 - 1987  Peter Tymciw, a student from Providence College, filled in for Pastor John Tkachuk.

1988  Pastor Paul Hay did 3 Sundays per month for a couple of years.

1991 - 1993 Pastor Roy Byman did 3 Sundays per month and Pastor Tkachuk did one.

1994 - 2001 Pastor Mark Funk served for 7 1/2 years.

June 2002 Pastor Aaron Nhlazane began and continues to minister God's Word to us.
